Shecter Design & Build (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a design-build construction company based in Woodland Hills, California (CSLB License #1080682). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, shecterdnb.com, and in the course of providing our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Contact and quote requests. When you fill out a form on our website, call, or email us, we collect the information you share — typically your name, email address, phone number, project address, and details about your project.
- Client and project information. If you hire us, we collect the information needed to perform the work: contact details, project documents, plans, permits, contracts, and billing information.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our site — pages visited, time on site, browser and device type, and approximate location based on IP address. We use Google Analytics for this.
- Security logs. Our website uses security tools that log IP addresses and request details to detect and block malicious activity.

- To respond to your inquiries and provide estimates;
- To perform construction and design services, manage projects, and communicate with you about your project;
- To send invoices, process payments, and keep required business and tax records;
- To operate, secure, and improve our website;

Third-Party Services We Use
We use a small number of service providers to run our website and our business:
- Customer relationship management. Contact form submissions are stored in our CRM (Zoho) so we can follow up with you.
- Google services. Our site uses Google Analytics (website statistics) and, on some pages, Google Ads conversion tracking. Our forms are protected by reCAPTCHA, and its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. These Google services may collect information about your online activity over time and across other websites and apps, subject to Google’s own privacy policy. - Business software. We use business tools for accounting and bookkeeping (such as QuickBooks Online), invoicing and payment processing (such as Bill.com), cloud document storage, e-signatures, and workflow automation. Client information is shared with these providers only as needed to deliver our services and manage our operations.
- Website hosting and email delivery. Our website host and email delivery providers transmit our communications and form notifications on our behalf.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
When We Share Information
- Service providers described above, only as needed;
- Subcontractors and suppliers working on your project, limited to what they need to perform their part of the work (for example, your project address and schedule);
- Government agencies when required for permits, inspections, or licensing;
- Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or property;
- Business transfers — if our business is ever sold or merged, client records may transfer as part of that transaction.
Mobile Privacy and SMS Data
We do not share mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS consent data, with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This information is used solely to provide services and operate our business.
Restriction on SMS Opt-In Data
Consumer and SMS opt-in data are never shared, transferred, sold, rented, or used for third-party marketing. We use this data only to deliver the messaging service and may share it exclusively with service providers essential to provide that service. Your data will not be transferred to external organizations.
Data Safeguards
We maintain comprehensive safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized sharing of mobile information and SMS consent data, including administrative, technical, contractual, access control measures, and internal privacy and security protections.
SMS Opt-Out
You can stop receiving text messages from Shecter Design & Build at any time. To opt out, reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. You will get one final confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent. You may also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.
How to stop receiving messages:
- Reply STOP to any text message from us. This immediately and permanently removes your number from our messaging.
- If you need help stopping messages, reply HELP, call us at 310-945-2387, or contact us through our website and clearly state that you want to opt out of future communications.
- To rejoin later, reply START or SUBSCRIBE.

Cookies and Your Choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on and manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings. Most of our site works with cookies disabled, though blocking cookies may affect reCAPTCHA-protected forms.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Like most websites, ours does not currently respond to DNT signals, because no common standard for them has been adopted. You can still limit tracking using the cookie and opt-out controls described above.
Data Retention
We keep client and project records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet California contractor, warranty, tax, and legal record-keeping requirements. Website inquiry records that don’t lead to a project are kept only as long as they’re useful for follow-up.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information: our website is served over HTTPS, we use security monitoring tools, and access to business systems is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.
Your Rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we’re legally required to keep. California residents may have additional rights under California privacy law. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at samuel@shecterdnb.com and we will delete it.

Our site may link to other websites we don’t control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
